Can the Library purchase a kindle ebook version of a book for my class?

Unfortunately, eBooks that are only available through an online retailer like Amazon have digital licenses and delivery protocols that only allow the individual purchaser to access the ebook and any supplemental web components requiring an access code. These types of ebooks cannot be purchased by libraries or shared.
